Photography: Vaporwave Aesthetics

With the odd photograph in my two most recent rolls of film that were processed, I've taken to Adobe Lightroom to challenge myself with the reviving of poor images and turning them into something not so bad; something at least usable.

In actuality, this photograph was shot on a mediocre sunset, with too much empty space and slightly overexposed. With Lightroom, I've turned it into a more emotional setting, using colours most would associate with the Vaporwave music genre, or generally just 'aesthetics'.

I like how it turned out, even if it's quite edited, it's something I can still use after a little touching up. It was shot on my Canon AE-1 on Kodak Colorplus 200 film.

Nice recovery using Lightroom. A remarkable tool that has helped me as I get back into photography after a long absence. It also helped with a bunch of old 35mm slides of my dad's I scanned. So much to learn about it though. :)

Thanks! Film is a completely different world when it comes to photography. I love it.

yeah the vaporvawe feel, i dig the mood man, the photo has that unique aesthetic taste and i love the purple colors on the sky !

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to salvage it and make something decent.
