Before my friend from Wisconsin dropped me off at O’Hare, she quickly took me on a walk around DePaul University. Here are some shots I nabbed.
At this point I’m convinced I could live in a tree; I can’t get enough of houses that get creeped on by nature.
The area we walked through seemed very clean cut which I’m not necessarily a huge fan of, but I still appreciate getting my daily dose of green.
Did I mention this place was a little clean cut? Not a fucking leaf out of place, even some of those trees fell in line and grew straight. The first tree here is the black sheep rebel of the bunch being all imperfect. The other trees don’t talk about her.
Some of the styles of architecture were neat. This is primarily a Catholic area with Catholic influence, so we see a lot of churchy-lookin places. When you love church so much you decided to make your home look like a church too.
This is part of the campus that was rather dull, not a whole lot going on since it was in the middle of summer.
Some…stuff to look at…I guess.
This was some kind of courtyard area where you can sit and contemplate the amount of money you just dropped on tuition.
Guy on the right is trying to listen in, but these two on the left aren’t having it.
More overgrown vines and trees nearby.
Some more clean cut places to walk, whatever they’re paying the landscaper they should double it. You also couldn’t find a piece of trash in the street for miles, was a welcome change from what I’m used to.
This house exists.
You couldn’t go very far without being reminded that God is watching you touch yourself at night.
I thought the design on these bricks/stones was neat.
All in all DePaul is boring as fuck and I probably wouldn’t recommend going there based purely on aesthetics. If you’re after an education you might still want to check it out.
