Black Barn

Lurking slightly ominously in the woods near my home town: an old barn, typical for my region of The Netherlands, that has survived the centuries.

The outer cladding is fairly new, but the inner wooden structure dates back to the 1700s. It's amazing how long these oak beams last.

The material of the building was still really good,
That must be from the very good woods, isnt it?

Especially like the BW one, great dynamic range. Yeah, people don't build like this anymore. Modern structures are made to last maximum of 40 to 50 years nowadays.

And mostly not as attractive to look at.
