Busy times at the peat bog

The damselfies were mating, flying about in couples, and depositing eggs. It seems every species has a time window and a habitat to do this:

After mating, all the territorial behaviour and fighting between males stops. In this photo (not a very good one, but funny enough to show) you can actually see two males holding each other for balance:

It's a funny thing to observe, having seen the violent fighting over females that went before this.

Not completely unlike human behaviour, I think.
