Why do I choose to shoot film instead of digital

in photography •  7 years ago

My name is Christopher Williams and I am based in Devon, England

I shoot film not because its better, not because its worse, but because of its history in photography. When shooting film you have to re-think your shot, you have to have more patience because you only have a limited number of frames at your disposal and you do not want to waste any of them.

So by using film you find yourself having to think differently.

I like to use medium format 120mm film because of its 6 x 6 framed aesthetics
