Double Suns - 10 Days of Reflections

in photography •  7 years ago

I Love Reflections

Its one of my favorite types of photography!

While I am brand new to knowing this fellow Steemer and photographer @ilovedietcoke, when I saw her idea for doing a reflection challenge, I knew I wanted to do it!!

This again is the familiar view from the balcony. I thought it was neat to see a mirror image of the sun and trees with just a slight ripple to the lake. I love kayaking in it. In my nerdy brain it was the lake version of Tatooine.

This one I am posting as a reminder to learn from your mistakes.

Seems like I am cursed with always feeling rushed... Always in a hurry. Well that and taking quality photos is not a good match. I needed to inspect my lens before shooting. I was thoroughly mad at myself after seeing the dirt spots. Yes Photoshop would fix it for the most part, but the point is to take your time and inspect your gear. Most likely I came in from shooting from the hiking trail and got some dust on the lens. Lesson learned.

Hi @old-guy-photos! You have received 0.1 SBD tip + 0.02 SBD @tipU from @bluemoon :)

Check out new tipuvote! feature :)

I hate it when I think I'm taking a great picture to later find the lens had dirt on it or something else. My biggest error is taking pictures places outside right after getting out of an air conditioned house or car which fogs the lens up.

You're so nice for commenting on this post. For that, I gave you a vote!

Or having it in manual focus and forgetting too go back to auto focus and missing the shot then.

Yes, of course, double sun! Reflections can double anything, tip!

Oh very kind of you my friend! Let me say thank you very much and Upped.

You are welcome and let me say thank you, I have a lot of reasons.

Nice! Only one thing I don't understand...

How do you get Tatooine from Waterworld?!

Oh yes! Good call lol.

Beautiful, I love how the sun looks like is touching the water. the only missing thing there is a good beer.

Agree. Beer is much needed. Upped!

Ha ha.......every time I think I have learned my 'smudge' lesson, I do it again @old-guys-photos I have tunnel vision when it comes to zero-ing in on my chosen targets and forget to check the lens. Another problem I have is the summer humidity causing fogginess on the lens. I don't have the best eye sight and I am inclined to blame those pesky smudges on my eyes instead of my fingerprints. And don't you find the smudges ALWAYS occur on your master pieces?

Yes indeed. Sound like me always rushed!

I love the texture in the water in that first shot. Cropped just above the tree line, it’s a standalone shot that doesn’t even need the sky! Great one!

Very kind of you thanks. Upped.

aw yumyuminess delux, il reflect wizz you any day, if you do this kind of pics 🐉💗

Lovely reflections @old-guy-photos!

Thanks upped

Thank you and Upped!

Love the 2nd one!!

Thanks upped

I think I'm a bit like you in one aspect.
Rush, rush, rush... but modern day digital photography allows this: shoot first, ask later.
Sometimes, you don't click, you miss the shot.
With shooting animals especially and other moving subjects.

Totally true!

I to am terrible about always being in a rush and it is somehting to work on, but I have managed after a lot of work to get myself into a habit of every Weekend taken all my camera gear out and giving it a good clean

I probably should do it after any shoot but once a week is an improvement

Thats a good habit!

One of the few good habits I have lol

It´s a nice picture
