With the winter solstice sunset and moon rise occurring with in 20 minutes of each other, I was able to capture these from the same location. The sunset and moon rise shots ended up being about 40 minutes apart.
It was really quite magical to be able to watch both of these unfold at the same time. Even though I am just a small part of the universe, being witness to this gave me a feeling of belonging to something much bigger.
