The upper pond is one of the most beautiful places in the Sofiyivka park. This is the basis of the park's water system. From this lake feed on all the waterfalls of the park and most of its rivers and lakes.
In the center of this beautiful lake was created an artificially created island. It is called the island of Anti-Tsirtsei. It is created from an earthen embankment and is fortified on the shores of granite slabs. In the center of it there is a building called "The Pink Pavilion".
You can get to the island by boat or bypassing the lake across the bridge.
In the photo you can see this white wooden bridge.
On the upper lake you can go boating, catamarans and even a small steamer called "Sofia".
