Happy New Year!

I never really understood what draws people to watch fireworks or light displays... Like I get the initial shock value, and the concept of what is actually going on during these displays, especially in regards to fireworks, is interesting and enticing, but at the end of the day, we are just staring at lights like a bunch of bugs.

Why are we continuously drawn to these displays, when it really is just a bunch of light?

(But also, really cool pictures! Clearly, beats any of the firework displays I've seen. Good job!)
