A simple shot of a Pigeon slowing down to land on a roof against a pure blue sky. Pigeons are often reviled as rats with wings. They are in fact some of the planets' best fliers, navigators and can fly at incredible speeds up to 40mph. Useful when trying to escape predatory birds which can dive a lot faster than that. Notably the Peregrine Falcon, which is doing well in cities like London where there are plenty of Pigeons to hunt. The humble Rock Dove is a creature of beauty and my daughter who is fascinated with them says hello as we pass them in the park each morning on the way to creche.
