LightPainting

Painting with light, using long exposures has become quite a thing over the last few years. All you really need is a tripod and sometimes not even that. On one of our (rather cloudy) astrophotography nights, a group of 5 of us equipped with LED lights ran around a dry swimming pool and managed to spell the word EGG in lights (the astro group is called) eggstronomy, you can google search them. We planned to do the same and dance around the trees in the forest in the dead of night (longer exposures) with the idea that we could paint red ribbons around the trees. I think we'll try it in the autumn. In the meantime here are some urban long exposures from Central London, where the traffic only quietens down for a couple of hours between 3am-5am
