Random Photo Moment #1️⃣7️⃣ - Into the Abyss

Here's how this works: I "spin" the wheel on my camera roll, so to speak. And blindly select a random picture when it stops.

The world is going crazy. Or maybe it never really went sane. But some days it's extremely difficult to stare into the madness and not become part of the very insanity that I abhor and resist. It's just too easy to get sucked in. To react. To knee-jerk to the surface of any given situation.

But it's also terribly hard on the soul.

Things are not always what they seem and they are rarely simple, almost never black and white. However, when I respond as if they are, I become the crazy. I get sucked in.

I'm not happy with this photo. I'm ripping my hair out trying to find something to write about it. I'm looking for a rationalization to break my own rule and pick a different image.

Crazy.

Instead of writing, I spent hours this morning bickering with strangers on social media about the whole #metoo thing and how to balance the witch hunt aspect with the reality that almost every woman has been a victim.

Crazy.

I read a baffling op/ed piece spinning the current First Lady of the U.S.A. into some sort of angelic, noble entrepreneur who is the epitome of class and family values.

Crazy.

Yes, the world is fuckng crazy! Please enjoy this seemingly unrelated and completely black and white - and somewhat omenous - photo of a house on my street. Like way too much out there in the world, it's actually not quite what is seems.
