A Golden Find!

Here we have an amazing story about my hunt for bass fish in the shallows!
I have seen the bass a few times and they are huge, as fishing is not allowed in this dam. The bass eat the babies of the coots and ducks in one gulp, which gives you an idea about the size of the fish.
But soon I forgot all about the bass fish!
Let me tell you the story!

Our favorite de-stress spot is an isolated dam with very few visitors.

While searching for the fish with my camera, my eye caught a movement in the grass near the reeds! As you can see it looks like there is nothing there!
Maybe the wind moved a grass blade, or a leaf?

But I am sure that you can also see the there is something in there?
Now if it is what I think it is, I am going to have to move very careful and slowly. The first priority was to get the sun opposite my approach, as a shadow or a movement and whatever it is will disappear!

Voila! There he is! Oh, I cannot tell you how happy I was, as it was my first "Golden Dragonfly"

Carefully I inched closer, but not careful enough. I got off 3 shots from this position, this picture, the first picture and the last picture in this post and stepped on a twig! Boom! He was gone!

This was the last shot, then he was gone!

What a blessing!

Great dragonfly photos and that looks like an excellent fishing hole @papilloncharity :)

Thank you! I used to fish a long time ago (catch and release), but since I was given a good camera, my love for nature has taken over! There are 3 dams on the farm and the large top one was rigged for fishermen. This one is the smallest in the middle and there is another big one at the bottom! The one at the bottom is also periodically open to fishermen and large fish are also caught there! Blessings! @cizzo

Any excuse to spend outdoors is good in my books!
And dam fishing can be damn good :)
I actually caught a brown trout yesterday for my first day out fishing for the season so I had fishing on the brain @papilloncharity

DEFINITELY a golden find! Love it!

Glad you liked it and to me it is so much worth more than money to find these little beauties! Blessings @sweetpea

Wow what an incredible find! Dragonflies are said to be lucky ;) To see this in the grass like that, you must be one lucky Steemian :) <3

Well, I don't know so much about lucky, but I do know blessings and have many of them. One of my blessings is that I have a very sharp eye for movement and this is what led to me finding the Drag. But, if you say that I am lucky, then I am happy with that! Thank you for the kind reply and upvote! Blessings @heart-to-heart

Tippy toe photography dragon flies never sit long enough always on the go, another great capture and knowing what you are looking at adds value @papilloncharity

Thank you Lady @joanstewart and as you say; tippy toe delivers the goods and a sharp eye helps! Blessings!
