There are now only 3 babies left and they look like survivors!

I thought that you would like to see how they've grown and we have lost all to the predators except these last three little ones. I must also sometime show you how the babies climb the oak tree in the garden late afternoon, to sleep under the moms wings at the top of the 20 meter high tree!
But for now, here they are!

IMG_5530.JPG

This is the smallest one of the three!

IMG_5535.JPG

And this is the sleepy one!

IMG_5588.JPG

The little guy at the right is flaring his feathers in the afternoon sun!

IMG_5597.JPG

And here they went to the front of the garden to scratch for some insects!

IMG_5459.JPG

This hawk patrols the garden early every morning!

IMG_5539.JPG

And the Gymnogene (Harrier Hawk) patrols in the late afternoon!

IMG_5549.JPG

Some say that Crows are bad! Not this one as he escorts the hawk away amid loud alarm calls so that the smaller birds can scatter to their hiding places.

The last photo reminds me of the good and the bad guys in our lives'!
Scam predators that try to clear out accounts with false messages and other human predators that we have to face in life. So many people are caught out and lose everything to the evil fraudsters and I especially think here about naïve old people that lose their entire life savings. We are no better off than the keets.
And of course, I see the law as the crows with both evil and good reputations.
Makes one think doesn't it?

We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting @papilloncharity

When was the last time I saw them...they changed so much! Soon they're going to be like their parents. Watching animals grow is indeed fascinating and fun :D

Lost another one today to a cat of all things!
Only 2 left now!

Sad...world of animals, that's how it works. Good luck to the survivors!

They sure have grown, glad these three are safe and hope they continue to be OK and grow
Yes often with most things ones can find good to contrast the bad such as you mention for the crows

Sadly my friend, another one was taken by a cat. Only two left now!
Blessings!

Ohh no sorry to hear that :(

Hope the 3 cutie babies will grow heealthy and get more sis and bros!

Have a lovely day !❤️

Only two left now Lady Joy. A cat took the 3rd one!

Such touching chicks. I hope these three will be saved and grow.
I wonder about the crow, which warns everyone.

Only two left now my friend! A cat took one of them!

How sad ... :(

Oh, the tree survivors! They look like they are of good size now and I hope they will continue to grow and be safe.... Those predatorial birds are majestic but also scary... I'm scared for the little chicks... aaah

And you are right, there are allusions to be made between those predators and the ones we sometimes see in human forms :)

Can you believe that a cat took one today my friend! Only two left now of the original 12.

OH NO! BAD KITTY!!!!!!!! :(

Hope the population incrrase and the 3 baby safe always.

Hello @papilloncharity
this photographs is telling your kindness and love towards the birds..
Beautiful photographs of the Guinea Fowl Keets.

Thank you my friend!
Blessings!

I always wanted to raise chickens or birds. Good pest control, fertilize spreads, intelligent, and well you can .... imagine they are cute too.

These are wild birds my friend and we only feed them because of the babies.
The babies are very cute and oh yes, they are good for the gardens!

It's always cool to see Nature imitate Human Behavior.. oh wait.. or is it Human Behavior imitates Nature? Yea, I'm sure it's the later of the two. Nature can be cruel but must be respected. The food chain, isn't always a pleasant place to be when your not at the top of it. I hope for the best when it come to your remaining three! I am pulling for them :-)

Thank you and we lost another one today to a cat.
Only two left now.
Blessings!

Oh No!! :-O Stinkin Cat!!!

Reading the comments I see another one was taken Stephen, sadly life is all about only the fittest survive.

Balance between human and wildlife is becoming exceedingly difficult, humans abandon pets. We are now seeing more dogs and cats having to scratch out a life in the bush, that is when wildlife takes another knock.

are those 3 staying in the wild? you did not like build some sort of small wooden house for them?
