I have a 300mm f/4 Canon L lens, and a 600mm f/4 Canon lens. I've been wanting to check out the 400mm f/2.8 as a lens that I might be able to actually hand hold for a day of birding, but get more reach than the 300mm.
Do you like the 400mm 2.8 and what do you feel that it is possible to hand hold it and still get crisp shots regularly?
