Yo Steem fam. After taking a week off due to HF20, I have been waiting to be able to post, and for my mana to be topped up. I was planning to post today anyway, but this amazing double rainbow outside my apartment this evening must be a sign... IT'S GONNA BE OKAY! 😅
In my time off this past week I made an effort to unplug completely. No steemit, very little discord. I don't usually go on FB or other social media platforms, so it was a nice break.
However 🙃 In my time off, I had plenty to think about... What is happening to my dearly beloved Steemit? Run by bots, rumours of witnesses being paid off to make the "right" decision, the price of Steem plummeting... Little interaction on posts. Is there where I want to spend all my time? Is this place I want to dedicate half my waking hours too? WHO ELSE IS FEELING LIKE THIS?
I'm excited to go to Steemfest in November, and looking forward to speaking with others about all these questions I have.
What are your concerns? ❓Are you feeling anxious about the platform? Are you jumping ship to Scorum, Weku or one of the other newly bud platforms? Or are you staying put?

I took a huge part of the week off, too. Though more like when I'm travelling. I checked in a couple times a day and was kinda sort of around.
It looks like they got the patches right now, and everything works just fine. In fact, it feels just exactly the same after all the wailing and gnashing of teeth :)
I believe for the next HF I'll just schedule some time away and let the pot stir without me being around to watch it.
I think Steemit is going to be just fine. I think a whole bunch of pretty serious people (witnesses) learned some valuable lessons. Those that care about the place will pick up their game and those that are just collecting the steem will probably fall away.
I do think we'll see an increase in users and active folks because of some of the tweaks in HF20. I also hope that by adding the resource credits that some of the low budget bot traffic will go down or away.

I am staying put and had no concerns at all, until i read your post. lol😱🤣 all good. I do think steem is doing ok. all things considered. I think the entire crypto scene has been and still is under pressure right now. but all will be good if the community continues its support and of course bot and witness issues are address asap. I do think once steemit does take off and become mainstream it will blow up. at which time hopefully all the crappy issues are sorted out.
I love steemit and steepshot.
ps. is that Cape Town I see in this pic. I think I would recognize the mountain and those trellises anywhere. Do miss CT very much. if it's not it certainly looks a lot like CT.
