Yesterday it was such a beautiful day to go for a walk. I live in a town called Amersfoort, which is basically in the middle of the Netherlands. It has been very cold the last few days, but the sun is shining like crazy so that makes it all good. There is a house in my town called the Cohen House, also known as the house with the purple windows. The house dates back to the 18th century and belonged to a Jewish tobacco merchant and banker called Benjamin Cohen.
The house has little purple windows, that where turned purple by the influence of daylight. Because over time some of the windows broke and had to be repaired, the windows all have a different shade of purple.
