I'm not much of a photographer, but I had a nice view of the so-called Supermoon from South Eastern Pennsylvania last night, so I thought I'd take a few pictures. By way of background, space.com says:
Supermoons happen when a full moon approximately coincides with the moon's perigee, or a point in its orbit at which it is closest to Earth. This makes the moon appear up to 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than usual.
This one is my favorite. I like how it came out with a sort of frosted effect.
These two have that frosted look, too, but it's not as pronounced.
This is the one that most resembled the actual scene. (As a novice photographer, it's surprising how hard it is, in that lighting, to just get a picture of what you're seeing.)
Officially, the supermoon started today, not last night, so if cloud cover permits, maybe I'll give it another go tonight.
