Mont Blanc (also known as La Blanche) is the highest peak in the Alps and in Western Europe, located on the border between France and Italy , near the corner of the two frontiers of the two countries with Switzerland. Its height is about 4,810 m [1], but it varies from year to year by a few meters, depending on snowfall and climatic conditions. The highest peak in Europe is Elbrus in the Caucasus (Russia), with a height of 5,642 m.
