Calotropis procera, locally known as Khoksha, is known as "Mother of Milk" due to the milky gum that exudes from its leaves. No one plants this tree either in the forest or on the side of the road. It is used to treat a variety of ailments, such as breathing problems, constipation and gastric problems. However, it can cause allergic reactions in some people.
