This rally took place in the lovely little town of Kössen, Austria that borders on Gerrmany and affords fantastic views of the Wild Kaiser mountain formation.

Why do so many people love oldtimers? For me they evoke happy memories of simpler times. My neighbor has a classic car from the 50s and recently his new Opel wouldn't start. So I gave him a ride to an underground garage in a nearby town where he keeps his classic car. On the way he unloaded his frustration, "Crappy modern cars! I can pretty much fix anything on my oldtimer, but even the mechanic can't fix this Opel without hooking it up to a damn computer."
Warum mögen so viele Leute Oldtimer? Für mich wecken sie angenehme Erinnerungen an einfachere Zeiten. Mein Nachbar hat ein klassisches Auto aus den 50er Jahren und vor kurzem hat sein neuer Opel nicht gestartet. So fuhr ich ihn zu einer Tiefgarage in einem nahe gelegenen Ort, wo er seinen Oldtimer parkt. Auf dem Weg entlud er seine Frustration, "Scheiß moderne Autos, ich kann ziemlich alles an meinem Oldtimer reparieren, aber selbst der Mechaniker kann diesen Opel nicht reparieren, ohne ihn an einen verdammten Computer anzuschliessen."
When he drives his Oldtimer around people smile and wave, or nudge someone and point to his car. His car literally makes people happy. These oldtimers seem to have personalities and a character all their own. How about this little BMW!
Wenn er mit seinem Oldtimer fährt, lächeln die Leute und winken ihm zu. Sein Auto macht buchstäblich Leute glücklich. Die Oldtimer scheinen eine gewisse Persönlichkeit und einen eigenen Charakter zu haben. Schau mal diesen kleinen BMW an!

Toll, in einem dieser Oldtimer würde ich auch gerne mitfahren! Die einzigen Oldtimer welche ich selbst fahren durfte, waren ein Steyr 🚜 und ein Puch Moped aus dem Jahre 1961.

I agree, there is just something great about them. In our area we see a lot of seniors in summers who cruise around in these beautiful oldtimers, and they seem to be having the time of their lives. Hope you have a great weekend!!
