Steemit Has Helped Take My Photography to Another Dimension, Literally! [Virtual Art]

in photography •  8 years ago  (edited)

I have been experimenting with some Virtual Art for the past few months.

Today, I am pleased to finally share my first completed piece.

Here is a snapshot of it:

Experience the completed piece as intended in full 1080p and 60fps @ the 2:30 mark

I created this by combining my photography with Google's VR program called Tilt Brush.

This cutting edge technology allows me to take my original photographs and remix them in virtual reality.

With the help of Steemit, I used my earned Steem to help pay for a new powerful PC to be able to run this VR equipment.

This is a whole new dynamic, where I can share my images in a way never seen before.

If people like this, I can make this an ongoing regular series.

Thank you in advance everyone!

Steemit sexy...

lol yes! exactly!!

OMG this is amazing! 8))
Future is here right now! I remembered movies like Jhonny mnemonic and Hackers after looking this video.

Thank you, thank you @boddhisattva. I worked really hard on it. Means a lot that you like it. I wish that more people thought the same : ) I does feel a bit like Jhonny and kinda like minority report when your in there. A must try if you are ever given the opportunity. Thanks again.

I tried HTC VR a couple of weeks ago with my son! He was so impressed. Me too. We went to play again next week.
But I didn't think about digital art with VR. And it's cool too.
Looks like you have HTC VR?

Yes, I am using the HTC Vive. My kids love it also!

Cool thing 8)

Hey cool work man! I never even thought about doing that with my own photos in VR and I've had VR since last April!! Inspiring stuff!

Thanks @shieha. I though you would appreciate this the most. My first take, Tilt Brush crashed on me after an hour. I almost threw my controller at the wall. : )

LOL, I've never had it crash on me, then again, I've never spent an hour straight inside Tilt Brush ;)

Recording with TB in mixed reality with OBS. Things start heating up in a garage studio during the summer. : )

Makes sense, I lag when I'm recording the screen.

This is an awesome idea. I love it! What program are you using? Photoshop, After Effects?

Thanks @vaughnelric. I am using a program called Tilt Brush.

Wow this things fantastic.

I'd love to try my hand at this.
