sugarcane farming and the labour behind it.

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

At a distance of just 200 mts from my home sugarcane farming is practised by the farmers in old technique. This pic clearly indicated how much labour it requires to make the ground suitable. They dig the ground with weapons and make them fertile by adding manure and fertilizing agents. They still uses bull for this process.

In the summer when the temperature in this region rises upto 48° they work with the same efficiency , because they have to complete it before the rainy season. But the dark fact behind all these things is that they do so hard labour day and night but are paid of with very low rate. The labour is waste because in this modern era people didnt even have time to look that they are proving 100% organic food by using green manures and harmful pesticides. They use old ancient technique to make pesticides.I am so lucky that I can be part of this few times.
