PEAK Habibie, once locals call the highest plateau on the road that connects Sukabumi, West Java, with Lebak, Banten, this.
There are many versions of why this place is called so. But, true, it has something to do with the third president of Indonesia, BJ Habibie. Its high location makes this plain a favorite of riders and tourists who are traveling from Palabuhanratu to Banten or vice versa, to take a break while enjoying the beautiful sunrise on the eastern horizon.Although the distance between Palabuhanratu and Puncak Habibie only about 18 kilometers and can be reached within 30 minutes, the "hunters" of the rising sun generally depart from Palabuhanratu at 03.30-an so as not to miss the moment. For them, it's better to wait 20-30 minutes on a cool summit than to arrive late.
Not at all a problem because there are so many stalls that have been open since early morning that provide hot coffee or tea and various warm snacks.
However, it is not only the sunrise that makes this place so interesting.
Wow nice shot
