Shankha [Sanskrit:शङ्ख]

in photography •  7 years ago

Dear steamians, Today i present you with my photography which is about shanka. In Hindu mythology, the shankha is a sacred emblem of the Hindu preserver god Vishnu. When air is blown through the hole, it travels through the whorls of the shankha, producing a loud, sharp, shrill sound. It is blown at the time of worship in Hindu temples and homes.
