This picture was captured in the morning. It seemed as though Gizmo didn't believe I was really sleeping so he decided to check if I was sleeping or just ignoring him.

    My cats will walk right up to my face and start pawwing me repeatedly, if I don't comply... the noise begins. Clearly you did something right with Gizmo if he's just making sure.
