One More New Lightning Shot At Lake Tahoe...

in photography •  6 years ago

Almost forgot to work on this photo from a couple nights ago... It's not as big of a lightning strike as the one I had posted previously, but I do like this one a lot too. The lifeguard chair added a great extra element in my opinion. One of the first few strikes of the evening before the show really started. High five to you if you know this Lake Tahoe spot...

Shot while out having some photo fun with photographer @jarvie. I shared his post earlier today, if you missed it, I would highly recommend checking it out. He really moved around a lot that evening and got a ton of "keeper" photos.

Shot with a Canon 5DS R and a 16-35mm lens set at 27mm. ISO 400, aperture of f6.3, and a 20-second exposure. Thanks for looking!

Happy birthday week @scottshots!! 🎉 Seen on @jarvie's post lol
How awesome to have some lighting with all the beauty! It even
made a lightning trail across the water! Nice boulders! too :-)
Love the color of the water and sky! Wonderful photograph!

Haha, thank you @shasta! It's been a great week.
I should have waited to post this a couple days... missed out on a #bouldersunday opportunity.
Yup, I really liked the lightning reflection on the water too! Happy with this one. Cheers!

This is just a excellent magical shot buddy.. I hope you are having a good day and how's your heath going?

Thank you @priyanarc! It was fun to shoot the lightning with @jarvie recently.
Things are going incredibly well. The Dr.s are impressed with how fast I've healed up. I was originally told I'd never hike, snowboard, or drink again but now they said I can do all those things including having a few beers or glasses of wine on occasion. Life is good. Hope things are going great for you too. Cheers!

I am really happy to know your updates , and you will do great buddy.. You are mentally strong and people loves you that's why it helped you to heal and recover very fast..

Wonderful art
Is this a HDR fx?

Thank you! Single exposure. I did do a decent amount of adjustments to the highlights and shadows in Photoshop's Camera Raw feature. The 50.6 megapixel Canon 5DS R captures a ton of info when shooting RAW that can not be seen until adjustments are made.

love it, great lake shot

Nice, thank you @doitvoluntarily! It's a great lake.
