Where I live, there are a lot of tiny towns out in the country. Most of them get a little less populous and a little more worn down every year. Industrial agriculture doesn't provide enough work to keep people employed, so they have to move. You can still see hints of the way they used to be, but it won't be too much longer before a lot of these places are just empty ghost towns. This just isn't the way people live anymore.
