A Cycad at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, Sydney NSW.

in photography •  7 years ago

I took these photos at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan Sydney. The garden is situated in the south west of Sydney and is spread out over 1040 acres or 416 hectares. They have an extensive collection of seeds of some 10,400 Australian species stored in a seed vault.

Have a go at these giant Cycads from the Triassic period which was between 251 million to 199 million years ago, they are a big and very tough plants.
