A visit to a new place is pleasant. So an educational tour is very important. Becides supplementing their knowledge. It gives them much pleasure and adds variety to the monotonous routine bound life . The students of Rabindra barati university went to a an excersion. We started for vishakhapatnam with some of our versity friends and some of their teachers .

Some days we visited the vizag. There I captured some beautiful pictures . Borra caves are one of them. So I have decided to share....

Borra means hole in Odia language.
Guhalu means caves in Telugu language.

The Borra caves, also called Borra Guhalu , are located on the East coast of India, in the Ananta giri hills of the Araku Valley of the Visakhapatnam district in Andhra pradesh.

The caves , one of the largest in the country, at an elevation of about 705m, distinctly exhibit a variety of speleothems ranging in size And irregularly shaped stalactites and stalagmites.

The caves are basically karstic limestone structures extending to a depth of 80 m.and are considered the deepest caves in India.
