I got the travel trailer out to the homestead, and leveled out for use, so I have a viable bug out location!

The move went well, and the setup was smooth at the homestead. The travel trailer still needs anchors and skirting, and some basic clean up; but we will be able to stay overnight to help speed repair work.

The small unit is set up about 15 feet east of the Main unit being upgraded for net zero energy use. The biggest oak tree on the homestead is between these two trailers.

It looks like the travel trailer is leaning, but in fact this part of the homestead drops off pretty hard so tilt the picture, and it will make more sense.

Here are pictures of the trip, we started in the city, like this:

We were on four lane roads, in traffic; but it pulled well!

As we got further into the country, we moved to two lanes roads.

This road is following the north shore of Lake Keystone.

After we turn off the blacktop, about 4 blocks from the homestead, we move to dirt roads. Now we are off the beaten track, LOL!

Five turns later, we backed into place on the homestead. We parked it inder a huge oak tree, for shade.

This tree shades about 130 feet diameter.

My wife wanted to stay there over night, she loves the new toy! Close to the lake, with this shade, it is 10 degrees cooler there.

I bet she does!!! Nice!

We finally have a bug out location that will work well. I will begin moving bug out supplies there in a few days.

I have to replace a hot water tank first at a rental first. :'(

Two steps forward, one back....

:-(

Dude that's awesome! I have considered getting one of these for quite some time now and for the same reason... to be nearer a body of water :)

A rather wealthy friend of mine recently got an RV that was more than 100 grand, it is made on a bus chassis and to say that I am green with envy would be an understatement. That is, until I joined him on a trip to fill it up with diesel and it took more than $500 to fill it up!

This one is less than a mile from Keystone Lake (400,000 acres of water), so it kind of solves my water problems, LOL!

It is about 100 feet deep at that location...big fishies.

This one won't move, I have another one with a motor for traveling. :-)
