Sundown continues to sneak up on me, and then, when I notice it; it sucks me into its silent beauty! Often, when this happens, my only defense is my camera.
This was one such occurrence, when the clouds were strung out like cotton candy with the sun already hiding behind the hills to the west.
Those clouds were the only thing the sun could reach, so it did it's best to light the whole World; by way of these cotton candy clouds! The amount of light these clouds gave off was so impressive; they almost looked like a neon sign!
Keep your eyes peeled, and your cameras hot!
I stopped this week in Lowgap, North Carolina and took a picture of the foothills of the Blue Ridge. I was delivering packages for FedEx at the time. I was inspired by the way the light was illuminating the hills, trees and clouds. Thanks for writing this post!

Okay so the picture is really beautiful and full of detail. yes it is dark but it still has a lot of colors in it and no matter whatever the place but sunsets are always beautiful <3

The contrast is what drew me to this sunset! Everything else was dark, without color, yet the clouds were ON FIRE with a rainbow of colors. Sunsets are my favorite time for pictures!

GOD Does his best work at sunrise and sunset! The colors are brightest and most varied then, and are often contrasted with a dark background.

I will let you know when I post the pictures. There is a water tower in the photo, that looks like a rocket taking off, with the sun as the take off flames.

I was lucky on this one for sure! Sunsets can take my breath away sometimes! The colors at sunset are exceptional.
My skill at getting pictures of them are not good, but every now and then, I get lucky, ROFLOL; and get a good picture or two!
