I finally have time to edit and process my DSLR photos from my New Zealand trip. Here is one from the Cathedral Caves in the Catlins, South Island, New Zealand. Amazing nature. The cave is one of the 30 longest sea caves in the world. Because it was high tide when my friend tried to go last time she didn't get to see it but we made sure to check tide times to arrive at low tide. What a fantastic place. The ceiling of the cave is 30 metres high!

Photo taken with my Canon 7D with Canon 18-135 lens.

Quite a dramatic effect, being so monochromatic really works for this shot. Having the focal points of the people standing there in the light makes this shot. Love it.

Thank you @naquoya. I'm glad you like the effect of the shot.

Nice cave POV

Thanks

Great post. You got my upvote :D

Thanks

very good

Thank you

Why is it called Cathedral Cave? Did they have ceremonies in there?

Good question. According to their website "Cathedral Caves received their name from a leading Dunedin physician, ethnologist and collector, Dr T.M. Hocken and his companions raised their voices and reported a 'reverberating' sound". See https://www.cathedralcaves.co.nz/pages/15/THE-CAVES

Magnificent. I love this contrast.

Thank you for the comment

It looks very mysterious! What did you find in there?

I found lots of tourists, haha. There was a crab swimming around the entrance to the cave, inside there were saltwater pools and sandstone. Very dark inside and it would be very mysterious if you were there alone.

Interesting shot - love it :)

Thank you @cheeto.blue
