The Fort Garry Hotel was built in 1913 and was the tallest structure in Winnipeg at the time of its completion. This chateau styled building is home to Winnipeg's most impressive hauntings. Legend has it that a ghost of a woman resides in the infamous Room 202. Back in the 20's, a newlywed couple stayed in Room 202. The wife sent her new husband out for painkillers but he was then killed by a horse-drawn cart. She committed suicide by hanging herself in the closet of the room. People report seeing this woman at the end of the bed waiting for her husband to return. There are several more reports of ghostly encounters at this beautiful hotel but I will be getting into those at a later date.

Does look nice, unfortunately it's haunted. But it's interesting nonetheless
