Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, housed in downtown’s Dubai Mall, is a vast and magnificent underwater world. One of the largest aquarium’s in the world with a capacity of 10 million liters (2.64 million gallons) of water, housing 140 species of marine life.
The aquarium 33,000 living animals including over 400 sharks and rays combined.
The 48-metre tunnel gives you the opportunity to take a stroll with sharks overhead.
The experience is spectacular with a myriad of beautiful colours and lifeforms.
After exiting the tunnel you are directed to the underwater zoo, located on the floor above. This is a large space with interactive and educational displays on a variety of sea life. Staff are on hand to guide you through the underwater zoo and provide you information.
Stars of the underwater zoo include a giant crocodile weighing 750kg, penguins, sea horses and many more.
