Leaving Salt Lake City

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

Thoughts streaming through my mind as I leave Salt Lake City. I'm trying to consciously remember and imprint memories as images, smells, sounds, ideas, feelings, etc into my psyche. Travel is therapeutic in the ways of discovery on all levels and SELF discovery being the most important.

I've had several AHA moments on this year's trip out west. Most of all, the reminder that we are so small and fragile sows the seeds of truth in my spirit. Sometimes it takes getting really lost to become found. I realized again how BEAUTIFUL The USA is. The big sky overwhelmed the ten thousand foot cliffs which really put our size as humans into perspective.

Another epic adventure is in the books. I'll carry back with me what I've learned about the world and more importantly about myself. Until next year!

This picture was texted to me from another climber on top of Angel's Landing in Zion on my way to the plane home. It was, by far, the most dangerous and scary climb I've ever attempted. My hair literally turned grey. It made me laugh.

He's my friend in the meat a bone world. A very cool human. I'm glad he's back now. We gotta make some more music. :) I like you even more to know what good tastes have. I love him too.
