While visiting a friend in Switzerland, we travelled from his home city Basel, to several different places. One day, we ended up in Lucern which is famous for its covered bridge which is over 700 years old. The Chapel Bridge is lined with flowers and is quite a busy little thoroughfare when the sun is shining. We also did a short cruise on the lake between the mountains.
Switzerland is expensive. Coming from Finland (which is not cheap) it was still very expensive. I was really surprised at how much difference there can be between prices. One night, we grabbed a Domino's pizza, garlic bread and a coke. 52€! Besides the cost, the Swiss at times also seemed a bit cold towards me. It was a good experience nonetheless.
Btw, my friend thought me crazy when getting the shot of the swan :)

Looks like a really nice place. I haven't been to Switzerland yet but its on my list of places to go. The bridge reminds me of the one in the story "Sleepy Hollow."
52€ euro for pizza is insane. I'll have to keep that in mind if I do travel there.
