A visual tour to this somewhat forgotten beauty: Friedrichfelde Schloss

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

Recently me and @sjennon got an year long pass to the zoo, which means we like to go there a lot. Every time we went there we passed a very beautiful house and we always wondered who owned this magnificent place. So this time instead of wondering we simply decided to go in and ask! When we entered we realized that it is in fact a castle famous by the name Friedrichfelde Schloss (Schloss is German for Castle).

A very old picture of the castle.

More recently it looks like this!

So let's enter shall we

This is the big hall when you enter, you can go left or right from here!

FullSizeRender (5).jpg
You see this room when you go right, with massive paintings. The paintings, a real masterpiece!

Then you go further right through these doors.

This 300 year old dresser!

Every detail from the wall artwork to the chairs to the table is just so mesmerizing that it cannot be placed into words. Serenity is what you feel in here.

The gorgeous fire place.

You encounter this beautiful cozy salon when you go further right. Perhaps it was a dining place for just the family or a place to smoke a few cigars, or a place to perhaps simply consult and chat.

This will walk you through the history of the castle.

Now we go to the starting point and GO LEFT this time.

Time is indeed a beautiful thing.

Looks like a small gossip zone. LOL.

Entering another great hall you see a big piano, several chairs with individual names on them, perhaps a place to enjoy performances, throw parties or even a wedding.

A meticulous and breath taking stone sculpting.

A view when you come out of the castle.

Me and @sjennon just casually on a bench in the park nearby.

This beautiful lady immediately put that flower in her hair, because it was a gift from me. LOVE.

This marks the end of the visual tour. I hope y'all enjoyed this!

Exotically old. Where in Germany is this?

Hey, It's in berlin.

It even smelled like antiques there!

It did indeed!

Beautiful castle!

Thanks dear!

What an incredible find! I love the sweeping murals on the walls that look to still be in amazing shape! The architecture and details inside and out are truly breathtaking

I know, I was so awe-struck the whole time. We say we are advanced beings but we still cannot compete with this kind of art!

Magical place indeed. Germany has a lot of castles to offer, one that is the most popular Neuschwanstein is really beautyfull! If you @things could let us see many more castles like this one, I would be very grateful!
That is why I am gonna follow you an dupvote this great post!

If I ever go, I would love to share more pictures! Thank you.
