Photosphere 360 Panorama at Rockbound Lake πŸ“·

in photography β€’Β  7 years agoΒ

I forgot to include another one of my favorite pictures of all time. This was taken with about 40 shots up at rockbound lake and stitched into a full 360 Degree PhotoSphere.

I hope you like it, wait for it to load, then click and drag to view in any direction up at the edge of the lake. Hopefully this lets you see why this was such an awesome destination for a fall hike. Can't wait to go back actually!

Awww..... Look at around... Nice environment with blue sky & white cloudy. Pretty stunning panorama. Nice place to visit and stay more times. The lake cool to be good for relax.

Wow the details are simply astonishing in this 360 panorama! Is this panorama on Google Maps? I'd love to see it in VR!

You know, I'm never quite sure how to get things to google maps, I have open added my photos to their contributor for certain hikes, but I seem to never be able to find them myself, so I really don't know. Ah ya, I wish I had a good VR system to revisit some of these places in VR!

Regarding VR, and if you want to build yourself a nice online folio of your 360 content, these are just my 2 cents but perhaps you could use an online tool such as tourmake.it (which I've been using professionally for years, but many other exist) to import them and create an interactive menu allowing you to organize your 360Β° in categories (hiking | nature | spot 1 | spot 2 | etc..). It has the option to publish for free or with a paid license. It usually is dedicated to build interactive tours over Google Streetview 360 tours, but it also has a feature named Viewmake allowing you to upload directly your own 360 pictures, which in this case could match with your interests.
Then the online tour has an option to easily switch to VR mode on mobile phones, and navigate through with your VR headset (here's for instance one of the tours I published if you wanna try: https://tourmake.it/de/tour/f41a67a2761ed41b84806b991b31431e)

About Gmaps, if I understand it well, you know how to add imagery content to an existing location on Gmaps, but can't easily find it afterwards. If so, when logged in to your Google account, go to Gmaps and on the left menu section, go to "Your contributions". It is splitted between reviews, photos & modifications you've brought.

Edit: mea culpa, I realise now that Tourmake seems to be accessible to Streetview Trusted photographers only, and that they recently have changed something into their business model, it has a yearly subscription to access the software.
To be forgiven, let me just share to you the world's biggest panorama, shot in the Mont Blanc valley: http://www.in2white.com . 365 gigapixels, 70K pictures taken.

Amazing photo captures you posted @unipsycho. it seems surprising gift from nature.
Have a great day!

Best imagine..
Be coooll....
Go ahead....

Very cool!!! In the first 360, I had no idea how big those rocks actually were until I saw that person in black with the backpack on. Those are some decent size rocks!!! Great job and beautiful photography.

I know right!??? Some of them were definitely house size and mostly large truck (dump truck) size. Pretty cool place, I found a lot of caverns and caves to get under the rocks into as well. You basically dissappear when you get into this boulder field, and you better keep track of your buddies, as you can't see past the next boulder and its a LONG WAYS through ! Very fun place to be 'lost' in. haha

the world is so beautiful. excellent photography @unipsycho
