All the time I look up to the Favelas in Brazil, a lot of thoughts come out in my mind. I just came back from Rio de Janeiro and took a similar photo of the Favela do Cantagalo, one in the day and another one at night. I would like to ask you, which picture do you prefer and what this two pictures can tell ? what come out of your mind when you look to this photo. Thank you very much

Thanks for the photos! I think both photos are great. Rio is a wonderful town, but truly shows the contrasting views of rich and poor. You have the glitz and glamour of Ipanema/Copacabana and then right behind the city are the impoverished people of the favelas. The way your photos capture the houses stacked up on top of one another is a true life experience for these people.
