What do you need?
▪Equipment
- You dont need to have high end equipment! You can use your camera's phone, digital camera or if you have DSLR that would be better, but its not about the camera. Camera is just a mere equipment it is you that can create magic, it is in your surroundings.
▪Subject
- Find an object or someone who can be your practice model. For me i prefer person to test my photography skills. Because a human has a lots of angle and points when you look on the camera your view point on the subject should not contradict which one need to pop out. Like is the out fit or the subject itself.
Here's an example:
"This sample shows that its the clothes that is being the subject but you should never forget the person that is wearing" (A tip here when you want to take pictures that the clothes should pop out is to make the model pose on the way that all the features of the clothes pop out the most)
▪ Location & Sunlight
- If you are looking for more natural look outside is the best way lighting for it too looks natural.
Here's the sample:
(In this shot it is the person that is being the subject, cause its her that carries the dress not the clothes that outshine her, for it to be effective it should be more like natural regarding poses for it to shows that the person or the model is being the subject)
See the difference in the first photo, all the features of the clothes pops out.
This photo was shot in a plaza and that day was around 3pm it was the best time here in the philppines to take picture that will make your pictures more natural at same time sharpy.
▪Be who you are!
- Have your own style that distinguish you from the rest, do different angles and distinguisg your style, dont be afraid to be reckless when taking shots the more you stupid to take weird angles just to make that shot, i promise you thats where the best shot would pop out! Be crazy dont be too serious on taking shots! Enjoy and have fun.
(I actually take this shot weirdly, like i was pretty close to the model due just to make this shot, and i was really happy of the output)
PS: I take this using my Canon 1200D but like what i say equipments dont matter it is you who takes picture.
"Photography is not about the equipments you have or the profession but more over the passion"
