So I tried some bubble shots this evening. A little too windy, so I was struggling with my bubbles bursting before I could take a shot.
First time doing this. Took a bit of practice. 100mm lens, full frame camera, f/18, 1/200 sec, ISO 125, front lit by sun with OCF (camera right).
Four part mixture of 200ml water, 35 ml of corn syrup, 35 ml of dishwasher soap, 2 tbl sugar.
I tried this on the weekend and didn't have much luck with the soap i was using. I'll have to try it again with corn syrup added...apparently that works. Nice work getting it to freeze!

Where did you get the recipe for the bubble mixture? I wonder what those street artists use to make their bubbles so strong and robust... Love the creativity involved and the cold weather adds that extra touch of novelty to it all!

A fellow photography buddy gave it to me as I have been struggling to capture this imagine for some time and was told it comes down to the solution one uses and to be quick. Thank you. Snow makes everything magical.
