In this post, we’ll fill you in on two of the biggest problems in stock photography today, including some “secrets” the agencies keep to their chests, and how our new licensing options will solve them.

Meet “Wemark Impress” and “Wemark Go”
Our new licensing options solve two of the most burning needs of today’s constantly searching, inspiration-hungry stock photography customers: rigid subscription plans and unaffordable pricing for premium images.
Wemark Impress
Wemark Impress is a collection of premium images available to license when you need something to make your project stand out.
It’s an alternative to the pricey premium collections launched by other agencies over the past few years, where photographers receive only a fraction of the revenue. And here’s another industry secret — agencies price images high publicly, but offer sneaky (yes, really!) enterprise deals which reduce the cost of premium images from $249–499 per download, to as low as $2, but only for a select few.
Premium images are currently overpriced largely because agencies take more than 50% of the revenue. By dramatically reducing our fee, we’re able to significantly reduce prices and also give creators the revenue they deserve.
Wemark Impress is primed to stay the course and make exceptional photography more affordable with pricing to fit a range of budgets. These photos will range between $25 and $500 per download, and 85% of the revenue will be paid to creators.
Hundreds of thousands of images are already available on Wemark Impress, and more will be added daily. These images will become available to license as soon as we release the tokens and launch the marketplace, which means — really soon!
Wemark Go
We created Wemark Go for everyday image needs. It’s fast, flexible, reliable, and reasonably priced (with no commitment) and with dramatically higher royalty percentages being paid to the photographers.
Most agencies require customers to buy subscription plans to get affordable prices. Images cost anywhere from $0.27 to $10 to download, based on how many downloads are included in your monthly plan. Seems normal, right?
The hidden fact is that agencies rely on buyers NOT downloading images. While agencies require customers to pay for the downloads they don’t use, creators only get paid for licensed images and don’t see any of the leftover revenue. The agencies win and the customers and creators lose. Absurd, right?
Many agencies don’t even remind you before downloads expire. No wonder customers think images are expensive while most creators can’t make a living.
What’s different about Wemark Go?
Our memberships start at $9/mo and allow you to license unlimited images with a fixed price — less than $1 per download.
Prices range from $0.27 to $0.95, depending on your membership plan, and 100% of the license revenue will be paid to creators.
We know, you’re thinking: “how are they gonna make any revenue?”
Wemark’s revenue will be based on our flat monthly membership fees, allowing us to keep the costs low for customers while rewarding creators with the revenue they deserve.
Wemark Go will launch in early 2019. Want to get 3-months free trial + free downloads when we launch? Sign up here!

Wemark’s updated roadmap
With the new licensing options and our updated strategy for content review, we’re happy to share the results of the last several months, which we dedicated to making Wemark more attractive to photographers and customers before the public launch. To support these exciting updates, we released a new product update which allows you to search images in both of our collections.
One question, kind of an elephant in the room, that’s been burning in nearly every conversation since we started developing Wemark is “How customers are going to use Wemark if they don’t have any experience with cryptocurrencies? Will you make them watch video tutorials just to download an image?”
We get these questions often, and our solution to this challenge is closer than you might think. Credit card support from within our platform, for both Wemark Impress & Wemark Go, is expected for early 2019 as well, all part of our larger plan to make image licensing fair and accessible to everyone.
Finally, the release of our tokens is right around the corner — stay tuned for our next announcement!
As soon as it happens, all the images on Wemark Impress will become available to license, followed by the launch of Wemark Go at the beginning of 2019.
