Continuing with our circa 1910s beach photo series from yesterday. We have this familiar fellow, again. You may (or may not) recall him from some of the very first posts in this series. He has a very distinctive face that's easy to recognize (unlike a lot of other people in this family).
Anyway, here he is, presumably posing for his girlfriend (yesterday's bathing beauty). And in this picture, we can make out just a little bit more of that sign in the background. I can just barely see "???N TIDE BATHS". But that was enough to track it down. According to this website: http://www.coneyislandhistory.org/ask-mr-coney/ocean-tide-baths , it's "Heney and McCotters Ocean Tide Baths, located at West 35th Street and Surf Avenue at the West End of Coney Island." Very cool!
Great detective work! These photos are fantastic.
