Photo Hunt Contest #15 - Statue || Classic and unusual

My entries to Photo Hunt Contest hosted by @photoquest are two photos of some beautiful statues. One from my hometown and the other one from the city I live.
You guessed correctly, this week theme is statue.

This statue is a symbol of my hometown (Campulung Moldovenesc) and is located in the middle of the town. The character shown is the Moldavian prince who founded this town, Dragos Voda. It is said that Dragos was hunting and he followed an aurochs. When he finally reached the beast, a fight started between them and Dragos managed to kill it. Very pleased with the result of the hunt, Dragos decided to build a settlement in that place and this is how Campulung appeared on the map.
The statue was made from bronze by the sculptor Ion Jalea and revealed in 1978.

Another statue I want to show you is a little bit unusual. Made of wood and placed in one of the important parks in Iasi, Expozitie Park (Exposition park), it gives a strange and pleasant look to this garden.
I don't know many details about this piece of art but will try to find out. 🙂
