I've never seen a situation where a swan or swans are camoflaged. Whenever I see these birds, they just stand out like a sore thumb, they are so white, and invariably they are on a green background, or brown. But here on the water they disappear into that white/silver color of the water. I wouldn't have seen them for a while in the second picture if I wasn't looking for them.
