Respiratory pump and kidney venous and lymphatic drainage

Inspiration pushes blood from the renal vein and inferior vena cava towards the heart, because the pressure in the thoracic compartment of the coelom is decreased and pressure in abdominal coelom is increased. This is probably more important in reabsorption of water from urine than people give it credit, reduces hydrostatic pressure component in venous drainage of kidney. Same for lymphatic drainage into the cisterna chyli from where lymp circulation towards the heart is also driven by respiratory pump.
