Factors affecting your Physique Rating

Your body composition can also be influenced by factors you can’t control:

  1. Age
People lose muscle mass as they age if they don’t maintain it with sufficient weight training. This results in a slower metabolism.
  2. Genes
These play a role in whether you are naturally lean or have a tendency to retain fat, including where you store it.
  3. Hormones
These can influence water retention, fat deposition, and body composition.
  4. Sex
Women have more body fat than men as nature’s way of preparing for pregnancy and nursing.

Risks of having altered Physique Rating?
High body fat could lead to potential health risks like obesity-related diseases, including heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. Alternatively, with low fat, one could be susceptible to diseases, fertility issues, low energy levels causing fatigue, weak muscles, etc.

An ideal Physique Rating
As you become more active and reduce the amount of body fat, your physique rating will also change accordingly. Even though your weight may not change, your muscle mass and body fat levels may be making you healthier and at a lower risk of certain diseases.
