So we took the pistol out to the range today to test fire it. 15 rounds later, we wish we would have gotten there earlie, because we were having a blast.

Super fun to shoot, even if it still needs sighting in. Love it!

Traditions Kentucky Pistol Kit minimally assembled.
.49 lead ball ammo.
.15 prelubed patches
#11 caps
777 FFFG Black powder replacement, Approx 70grains.

I made a Pennsylvania longrifle back in the 1990's. It was a lot of fun to play with. I thought that it would be the first of many, but that didn't happen. It felt sort of strange setting up at the range next to guys blazing through clip after clip of 223 ammo in their AR-15s. With my flintlock I was lucky to load and fire one shot every 5 minutes.

I have my reload down to an art already. 1 min and I'm back on the bench.
