Well, it would be great if all these Changelogs would actually hold the Repo URL as well, if there is a repo ?

Good point! Repo is on github.com/xeroc/piston .. I'll make the script to post it as well

Really ? 5000$ for this update log ? Something is very strange here ....

I agree. My intention for this post was not to make a lot of money, just some small tips. For this kind of posts, I use steem(it) merely to let everyone know about updates to the library. At least, I can continue improve the library full time.

I think there are useless posts that gets more and more $$$. At least your info is very appreciated.

If people vote for you and you make a lot of money that is not your fault. Enjoy it. Just take some time once in awhile to check out some new posts from people and up vote some stuff. It then doesn't really matter because you'll be helping grow steem power for other people. At least that's how it seems to work. Yet you didn't do ANYTHING wrong in posting. Technically it IS original content which is more than some of us can claim.

EDIT: The most amusing part is that some people posted responses to your post and it is clear they had no idea what it was. :) Kind of funny if you think about it.

You rock Xeroc!

thanks a lot for the improvements !

What next? Git commit message?

improve that library! good job

nice improvements, thank you for improve Piston, i think it is a key element for steem to grow

ummm

Interesting article. I would like to point out it is important to never throw all of your eggs in one basket. Even if you believe something will be successful you always need a plan B. I think steemit is a great investment but if you are talking about your retirement plan, I would be careful. Cheers!

How is the article (a change log) interesting? Is this perhaps a post on a trending thread to see if it'll get a hit? If it is... that might work other than your post seems weird considering the content you are replying to.

Wow - interesting - Make a plan B just in case always best to be prepared!!!

??? not sure I understand what this is about...

It seems like if you have a job doing code, perhaps even on steemit itself, you can post an update to the codebase as a log and essentially get paid out in steem. Lot's of it too. That is a VERY good paying job. :)

No big deal though as long as they then take that wealth and vote in the ecosystem and spread the love around. :)

On a side note, I am an independent develop and not paid by steemit.com (the US based company).
However, the people of Steem (the blockchain) seem to like my updates and thus tip me with their upvotes. The amounts that I raise with these posts allow me to work on piston full-time.

Awesome. I was honest. I am fine with people making whatever they make on steem. I assume you'll vote for people occasionally and the system already shares with people by doing that. So it is cool. If you can keep on doing as you are doing it'll make for a really nice job. :)

So no need to justify yourself. Thanks for sharing though.

Thankyou heaps for piston, its been key to easy access to the network and you deserve every cent you make - even for changelogs :)
